A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Trussville, AL, serving K-12 students in a dynamic public school setting. This contract position spans the 2025-2026 school year, from August 1 through May 22, with a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week. The role focuses on delivering high-quality evaluations, direct speech and language services, case management, and supervision of Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across grades K-12.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs.
- Manage cases efficiently to ensure compliance with educational plans and regulations.
- Supervise and collaborate with SLPAs to support service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) licensure in Speech-Language Pathology with Alabama state licensure.
- Valid Alabama teaching certification required.
- Previous experience working within school-based settings is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple caseloads effectively.
- Will consider candidates who are strong Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) with relevant qualifications.
